Front-running Fiesta Championship driver Danny Harrison returned to Brentwood Karting on Sunday to offer his experience to the young drivers of the famous Brentwood Karting race league, as well as putting on a show with some exciting passenger laps.
Danny first began competing in karting at the circuit many years ago, something that he says shaped him to become the driver he is today.
"Brentwood Karting's race league offers the most competitive karting experience in the country." Danny explained. "It's every week, so you're racing with the same drivers regularly and have to really add something to your driving to do well. Everyone knows all the tricks so you have to make your own, and even then it's no guarantee of winning as they can all lap within a tenth of each other."
This season has been an exciting one for Danny, who currently sits 3rd in class and 5th overall. After taking all 3 victories at the first weekend, he's started to struggle with reliability issues and thus fallen lower down the table than he arguably deserves.
However with the next round being at Castle Combe, a track that Danny holds the current Fiesta lap record, he will no doubt me looking to make his mark and score maximum points.
